Film makers from our region have produced a documentary called "A Sobering Story".
It shines a spotlight on the harsh reality of substance use in Thunder Bay.
It's told through personal stories and insight from experts. It also uncovers a lack of resources.
This documentary also wants to help get ride of stigmas and to inspire compassion for those who are struggling with addiction.
This is a subject matter that affects many communities and many of us are passionate about helping and raising awareness.
They have had several sold-out showings of this documentary in Thunder Bay, and now they are bringing a screening of the film here to Fort Frances.
Thursday, May 30th at the Townshend Theatre at 6pm. Doors open at 5:15pm. A Q& A with filmakers will follow.
General admission is FREE, but they are asking for free will donations.
